Doctors of Chiropractic are musculoskeletal specialists who treat issues involving the bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons, and nerves. Commonly known for treating neck and back pain, they treat all joints in the body, including shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Although the Adjustment is the staple of their treatment, Doctors of Chiropractic also utilize physiotherapy modalities, rehabilitative stretches and exercises, neuromuscular re-education, and lifestyle modification to help patients recover from injury and achieve maximum potential.

Dr. James Lyons DC

James Lyons, DC received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2005 from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. That same year he founded Healthworks Chiropractic in Milpitas, California and has since been serving Bay Area patients.

Dr. Lyons employs several techniques in his practice, including diversified, Activator, pelvic blocking and drop table, and flexion/distraction. Accompanying this are several physiotherapy and rehabilitation protocols.

As a family practice, Dr Lyons is interested in treating patients of all ages and walks of life, from grandparents to grandchildren. Though he treats complaints throughout the entire spine, many patients receive treatment for extremity complaints. Shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, and even the TMJ (jaw) are all treated at Healthworks Chiropractic.
